So you may have noticed that my posting has dwindled to fairly infrequent on this here blog. After a bit of reflection, I've decided that a book-centered blog just doesn't motivate me the way it used to and I would like to diversify my blogging a bit. With that in mind, I started a new blog, <a href="http://www.spruceduplife.com/" target="_blank">Spruced Up Life </a>(a play off my last name) that covers more than reading. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EcAClAJPTH8/VQrWNynrucI/AAAAAAAAE8I/1HyV4dpvohI/s1600/spruced.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EcAClAJPTH8/VQrWNynrucI/AAAAAAAAE8I/1HyV4dpvohI/s1600/spruced.PNG" /></a></div>
<br />
I'll still talk books of course, but I'm also going to cover foodie goodness, DIY projects, etc. I know some of my readers will probably only be interested in a book-centric blog and if that's the case for you, farewell bookish friend! But if you are open to a wider scope then please check out <a href="http://www.spruceduplife.com/" target="_blank">Spruced Up Life</a> and we can continue our bloggy friendship :)Kat @ NoPageLeftBehindhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09255578898082061820noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919630746206307611.post-16889437733290192362015-03-03T05:00:00.000-05:002015-03-03T05:00:09.408-05:00Top Ten Tuesday: All Time Faves from the past 3 years<div class="separator" style="background-color: #fefdfa; clear: both; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: center;">

It's a little bit historical fiction, a little bit gothic mystery, and a lot of awesome!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1344545047l/1232.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1344545047l/1232.jpg" width="208" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1406383769l/49628.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1406383769l/49628.jpg" width="202" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1397425352l/18770398.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1397425352l/18770398.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>

I went on a beach vacay with my momma and we spent the <i>entire </i>time beaching it and reading (my favorite kind of vacation)! I read quite a few books during this time and most of them were fantastic. Here's a quick rundown:<br />
<br />
<u>The Red Tent</u> by Anita Diamant - this was one of those books that's been sitting on my TBR forever and I FINALLY got around to it! So glad I did - what a fascinating woman-centered look at a well-known Old Testament family. 4.5/5 stars.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1424310765l/113348.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1424310765l/113348.jpg" width="210" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>Station Eleven</u> by Emily St. John Mandel - what a unique dystopian literary fiction novel. The book jumps between the past and the present illustrating the differences between society before and after the Georgia Flu. Fascinating characters and imagining of a desolate American landscape. 4.5/5<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1415583784l/20170404.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1415583784l/20170404.jpg" width="216" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>All the Light We Cannot See</u> by Anthony Doerr - Gorgeous! I absolutely loved this book - great characterization, lovely prose, unique take on WWII, etc. Definitely read this if you haven't done so already! 5/5 stars<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413166411l/18143977.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413166411l/18143977.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>First Frost</u> by Sarah Addison Allen - y'all know I love me some SAA so I was really excited to read her latest - and it didn't disappoint! This book is actually a sequel of sorts to her popular <u>Garden Spells</u>. It was fantastic to get involved with the Waverley family again. This novel was all that readers expect from SAA: cozy, Southern, foodie, magical realism goodness! 4/5 stars<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1410962794l/21853633.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1410962794l/21853633.jpg" width="218" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>The Girl on the Train</u> by Paula Hawkins - this book is being called the new "Gone Girl" so I thought I'd give it a try and it was great! Gotta love a good unreliable narrator thriller :) 4/5 stars<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1421709869l/22557272.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1421709869l/22557272.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>Paper Towns</u> by John Green - such a fun book and I wanted to read it before the film comes out. Loved the cast of characters and I think it could actually make a good movie too! 4/5 stars<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1349013610l/6442769.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1349013610l/6442769.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>Everything I Never Told You</u> by Celeste Ng - this was actually my least favorite of all of my reads. It could be because I wasn't a fan of the characters (especially the parents) - as often that will cloud my opinion. Unfortunately, it just didn't live up to the hype for me. 3/5 stars.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1386795198l/18693763.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1386795198l/18693763.jpg" width="211" /></a></div>
<br />
Aaand, I am partway through another book but as I'm still not finished I'll leave it off the list. Phew! Lots of reading! Anyone have any beach vacations coming up? If so, what books do you plan to bring along?Kat @ NoPageLeftBehindhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09255578898082061820noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919630746206307611.post-64634002681114840622015-01-10T09:36:00.000-05:002015-01-10T09:45:51.218-05:00TBR list from Bloggers' Best of 2014 ListsSo 2014 was not my best reading year - lots of weddings to celebrate (6!), travel (between me and the hubs we went to Park City UT, New Orleans, Nashville, Las Vegas, UP Michigan, Louisville, and Chicago), and delving deeper into <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/IndyGem" target="_blank">my jewelry making</a> did some real damage. With all of those distractions, I didn't feel as though I had read enough and with enough variety to create my own best of 2014 list. That didn't stop me from excitedly perusing other bloggers' end of the year lists. This, of course, caused much book coveting and below is just a smidge of my TBR list that I gleaned from all of those "Best of 2014" lists:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413706054l/18007564.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413706054l/18007564.jpg" width="210" /></a><a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1415428227l/20518872.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1415428227l/20518872.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<u>The Martian</u> by Andy Weir - I initially ignored all of the rave reviews about this book because it didn't sound like something that would interest me...but it's appeared on soooo many "best of" lists that I think I need to step out of my comfort zone and try this one.<br />
<br />
<u>The Three-Body Problem</u> by Cixin Liu - I've been wanting to find another fantastic sci-fi novel and, based on all of the international acclaim, this sounds like it may be the one!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1412531770l/18847705.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1412531770l/18847705.jpg" width="212" /></a><a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1417980957l/20821284.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1417980957l/20821284.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<u>The Pearl That Broke Its Shell</u> by Nadia Hashimi - a debut novel that has received lots of rave reviews...and I seem to be a sucker for an Afghanistan setting.<br />
<br />
<u>Brown Girl Dreaming</u> by Jaqueline Woodson - I've wanted to read Woodson previously but it sounds as though this is her best work yet!<br />

This Christmas, my sister-in-law told me that my nephew actually wants early reader books so you can imagine my glee! To make the gift more fun, I glued the following inside the cover of each book:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h7YaISLZK4k/VIxk1ivRakI/AAAAAAAAEh0/AGFwnqYp9f0/s1600/masons_library.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h7YaISLZK4k/VIxk1ivRakI/AAAAAAAAEh0/AGFwnqYp9f0/s1600/masons_library.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I also wrote in the information on each, gave him some extras for future books, and of course a date stamper so he can have fun making it look like a real library card! For those interested, after doing some research, these are the books that are being gifted:<br />
<br />
National Geographic Kids: Polar Bears...how cool is it that National Geographic has early reader books on TONS of different subjects??<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.rainbowresource.com/products/022429.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://www.rainbowresource.com/products/022429.jpg" height="320" width="210" /></a></div>
<br />
Flat Stanley: His Original Adventure! - I remember my little sister loving Flat Stanley as a kiddo.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/b2/16/a7/b216a7c66281c614928c6f09cfeeebec.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/b2/16/a7/b216a7c66281c614928c6f09cfeeebec.jpg" height="320" width="215" /></a></div>

<br />
I also bought him a few early readers from Target that feature superheroes because I know that he loves Spiderman! Hopefully he likes his gift and becomes a little bookworm like his Aunt Kat :)Kat @ NoPageLeftBehindhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09255578898082061820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919630746206307611.post-75845339222920809702014-11-18T12:59:00.003-05:002014-11-18T12:59:48.747-05:00TTT: Top Sequels I Can't Wait to Read!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">3. How about little Rob from <u>Shadowy Horses</u> by Susanna Kearsley? Oh wait...she already did write a novel about him, <u>Firebird</u>! (I highly recommend both)</span><br />

<i><span id="freeText13791388429302605052"><em>We have three souls, or so I'd been told. But only in death could I confirm this ...</em>
So begins the haunting and captivating tale, set in 1935 China, of the
ghost of a young woman named Leiyin, who watches her own funeral from
above and wonders why she is being denied entry to the afterlife. Beside
her are three souls—stern and scholarly yang; impulsive, romantic yin;
and wise, shining hun—who will guide her toward understanding. She must,
they tell her, make amends.<br /><br />As Leiyin delves back in time with
the three souls to review her life, she sees the spoiled and privileged
teenager she once was, a girl who is concerned with her own desires
while China is fractured by civil war and social upheaval. At a party,
she meets Hanchin, a captivating left-wing poet and translator, and
instantly falls in love with him.<br /><br />When Leiyin defies her father
to pursue Hanchin, she learns the harsh truth—that she is powerless over
her fate. Her punishment for disobedience leads to exile, an unwanted
marriage, a pregnancy, and, ultimately, her death. And when she
discovers what she must do to be released from limbo into the afterlife,
Leiyin realizes that the time for making amends is shorter than she
thought.<br /><br />Suffused with history and literature, Three Souls is an
epic tale of revenge and betrayal, forbidden love, and the price we are
willing to pay for freedom</span></i><b>.</b><br />

<b>My Blabberings:</b><br />
It's been awhile since I've read some Chinese historical fiction and I'm so glad that I broke that streak. I've never read much about the Communist movement in China so this time period was really fascinating for me.<br />
<br />
I thought the characters were complex enough to be both realistic and sympathetic. I loved Leiyin even though she could be naive and spoiled. All of the secondary characters were also very compelling - whether they were villains, friends, or dwelling in a moral gray area.<br />
<br />
My overall opinion was that this is a great historical fiction novel that also encompasses some of the mystic religious qualities unique to Chinese culture (Leiyin's yin, yang, and hun souls). If you are a fan of Lisa See, Amy Tan, or just historical fiction in general - this is definitely a book worth checking out!<br />

Yesterday my hubby and I joined the crowds and went to the Mass Ave. World Cup Block Party in Indianapolis - it was insane...and insanely fun!<br />
<br />
This is what it looked like when we first walked into the designated block party area.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://photos-f.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xpf1/1941203_751378204919317_136328421_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://photos-f.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xpf1/1941203_751378204919317_136328421_n.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And when we settled into our spot this was our view (well, I had to stand on our cooler to get this shot).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xap1/t1.0-9/10415655_10104344771040869_2911987027986835748_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xap1/t1.0-9/10415655_10104344771040869_2911987027986835748_n.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
And lastly, I had to take a photo of these girls with their awesome sign.<br />

This segment on the blog came about because my desire to read new books vastly outstrips
my ability to dwindle down my TBR list...oh, to have more free time!
Anyways, these are some new additions to the good ol' TBR that are all over the place!<br />
<br />
<u>The Undertaking of Lily Chen</u> by Danica Novgorodoff...it's time I read a new graphic novel!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1377580085l/17934370.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1377580085l/17934370.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>All the Light We Cannot See</u> by Anthony Doerr...a story during WWII that has received rave reviews (I can't seem to escape these WWII books)!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<u>Noggin</u> by John Corey Whaley...the premise sounds way out there but I'm intrigued. Especially since there was such an <a href="http://anneursu.tumblr.com/post/85826165638/on-the-john-green-effect-contemporary-realism-and" target="_blank">uproar about A.J. Jacobs' review</a>.<br />

<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Hey
folks! The Monday Miscellany segment on the blog is where I take off
my reader glasses and share some non-bookish musings. This week I want to talk about the improvements that we've made so far this spring!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Remember this??</span><br />

<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Front yard:</span><br />
<ul>
<li><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">As you can see we've really purtified our mailbox! Now I just need to add some sweet potato leaf and flowers in the mailbox planter.</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">We re-did all of the plant beds. They are now filled with hostas, heuchera, hydrangea, and a sprinkling of other ornamental plants and shrubs. Also, my hubby spread all of the mulch himself this weekend - what a feat!</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Killed the dandelions and re-seeded the lawn...I think our neighbors will be thankful not to look at our horrendous lawn anymore! </span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">We removed the giant smoke bush that blocked our living room window...I was hoping to save this and re-plant it elsewhere but we weren't able to :(</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Next up, paint that door red!</span></li>

<i><span id="freeText3598530182665130659">On a damp October night, beautiful young
Ashley Cordova is found dead in an abandoned warehouse in lower
Manhattan. Though her death is ruled a suicide, veteran investigative
journalist Scott McGrath suspects otherwise. As he probes the strange
circumstances surrounding Ashley’s life and death, McGrath comes
face-to-face with the legacy of her father: the legendary, reclusive
cult-horror-film director Stanislas Cordova—a man who hasn’t been seen
in public for more than thirty years.<br /><br />For McGrath, another death
connected to this seemingly cursed family dynasty seems more than just a
coincidence. Though much has been written about Cordova’s dark and
unsettling films, very little is known about the man himself.<br /><br />Driven
by revenge, curiosity, and a need for the truth, McGrath, with the aid
of two strangers, is drawn deeper and deeper into Cordova’s eerie,
hypnotic world. The last time he got close to exposing the
director, McGrath lost his marriage and his career. This time he might
lose even more.<br /><br />Night Film, the gorgeously written, spellbinding
new novel by the dazzlingly inventive Marisha Pessl, will hold you in
suspense until you turn the final page.</span></i><b> </b><br />

<b>My Blabberings: </b><br />
I'm not normally much of a thriller fan (especially when it actually gets downright scary in parts) but I really loved this book! I rooted for the main character, the side characters were quirky and added dimension to the story, and I was on gnawing my hand off due to anxiety-inducing scenes.<br />
<br />
I would probably classify <u>Night Film</u> as a multimedia literary thriller - strange concept, no? I loved the little newspaper clippings and fictional webpage screenshots peppered throughout the novel. It made it easier to suspend my disbelief and get swallowed into this gritty world created by Pessl.<br />
<br />
Another aspect of this book that struck me is the parallel between Scott McGrath and Stieg Larsson's <span id="freeTextContainer13480397072110331364">Mikael Blomkvist. Both are investigative journalists that have been recently disgraced. Both are seeking redemption by investigating the very thing that caused their disgrace. I almost cringe to point out this similarity because the books are so different overall. I wonder, is this typical thriller trope? I don't read enough thrillers to really recognize if this is a common protagonist used in this genre.</span><br />
<span id="freeTextContainer13480397072110331364"><br /></span>
<span id="freeTextContainer13480397072110331364">ANYWAYS, went on a bit of a tangent, but the overall takeaway I want to impart is: this book is awesome!! Even if you don't particularly like thrillers, I would recommend that you give <u>Night Film</u> a shot.</span><br />

This segment on the blog came about because my desire to read new books vastly outstrips
my ability to dwindle down my TBR list...oh, to have more free time!
Anyways, these are some new additions to the good ol' TBR that are all over the place!<br />
<br />
<u>Look at Me</u> by Jennifer Egan...A thriller with interwoven storylines about identity and image.<br />

<br />
<u>The Plantagenets</u> by Dan Jones...Highly regarded and I've been wanting to read some historical fiction about this reigning family.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1366387829l/15811559.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1366387829l/15811559.jpg" width="227" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>The Good Luck of Right Now</u> by Matthew Quick..."<span id="freeTextContainer14935988728678476222">entertaining and
inspiring tale that will leave you pondering the rhythms of the universe
and marveling at the power of kindness and love."</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span id="freeTextContainer14935988728678476222"><u>Perfect</u> by Rachel Joyce...a quirky-sounding novel about when 2 seconds were added to time.</span><br />

<br />
<span id="freeTextContainer14935988728678476222"><u>Special Topics in Calamity Physics</u> by Marisha Pessl...loved her book <u>Night Film</u> so I can't wait to read her first novel.</span><br />

This week is semi-bookish in that I wanted to discuss other book blogs.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">I've found that in my years as a blogger, the percentage of YA books I've read has been continuously increasing. Meaning, I'm definitely reading a lot more YA than I would if I weren't a blogger. This is largely due to the numerous book blogs I follow that heavily (or completely) focus on YA fiction. In general, there seems to be more YA book blogs than adult fiction book blogs out there in the blogosphere...am I wrong about this?</span><br />
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02719/choosing_2719985b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02719/choosing_2719985b.jpg" height="250" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Now, there's nothing wrong with YA in the least but I have a personal preference for literary fiction and somehow I've deviated from my preferences. Anyways, I've hit a bit of a breaking point and really want to redirect my focus to adult literary fiction (of course, with smidgens of fantasy, nonfiction, and YA sprinkled throughout). One of my favorite aspects about blogging is finding great book recommendations. So, it follows that if I want to redirect my reading back to literary fiction, I need to find some adult fiction book blogs where I can gather recommended reads! Therefore, I'm asking you, my fellow bloggers and readers, if you have any blogs to recommend.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">One of my favorite places to find adult fiction recommendations is the Books on the Nightstand podcast...what about you folks? Also, please feel free to shamelessly self-promote! :)</span>Kat @ NoPageLeftBehindhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09255578898082061820noreply@blogger.com2
