1. Insurgent by Veronica Roth - the first book in this trilogy, Divergent, was one of my favorites of 2011 so, obviously, I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!
2. The Garden Intrigue by Lauren Willig - love this fluff-tastic series and I am eagerly awaiting the latest installment.
3. Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver - talk about a shocker of an ending for Delirium, I must find out what happens next!
4. Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness - another favorite of 2011 was The Discovery of Witches and I'm desperate to know what befalls Diana in the following book!
5. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - I'm still a relative newbie to John Green's novels, but I love what I've read thus far. Also, I listened to the author read the first chapter and I'm already hooked!
6. The Girl Who Fell From the Sky by Heidi W. Durrow - this was recommended to me by my mother and it's sitting patiently on my shelf.
7. Cinder by Marissa Meyer - I received an advanced copy of this book and have heard nothing but great things about it - can't wait to read it!
8. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness - I know this one's been out for awhile, but I adore Patrick Ness and I'm excited to read his latest.
9. Dearly. Departed by Lia Habel - this was recommended by one of my favorite bloggers and it caught my eye. I managed to snag it on NetGalley and now I just can't wait to read it.
10. There is No Dog by Meg Rosoff - I've heard wonderful things about this author and the premise of this book sounds really unique.
I am going to have to read Divergent. I have seen it on so many lists over the past few days.
ReplyDeleteOh Insurgent!! I can't wait for it to come out!! :) Great pick! :)
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to read Shadow of Night too, I really liked Discovery of Witches.
ReplyDeleteI seriously think I'm the only one that doesn't have Insurgent on my list this week. I guess I need to find out what all the hoopla for this series is about. I read A Monster Calls a few month ago and am very excited to try another one of his books.
ReplyDeleteBtw - are you getting swept up in all the basketball excitement in B-town???
@readerofthepack and nea barabea: Yay for the Divergent series...I'm glad to see it getting some serious love this week!
ReplyDelete@Anne: I thought Discovery was really well-written and the story has me hooked! Maybe we can do a joint review when Shadow comes out :)
@ Two Bibliomaniacs: Please do try Insurgent and another Ness novel - they're fantastic!
And yes! I am absolutely getting swept away with basketball fever! I'm actually going to the game on Thursday - goooo Hoosiers!
