I agree with Melissa above too - after reading Chocolat, I only wanted to eat chocolate for weeks!
I would add Gourmet Rhapsody, by Murielle Barbery - who wrote The Elegance of the Hedgehog. Actually Gourmet Rhapsody is focused on one character of The Elegance of the Hedgehog. Fast and very tasty book. here is my review: http://wordsandpeace.com/2011/06/16/my-review-47-gourmet-rhapsody/
