  1. 1984 made my list. I keep meaning to read Mockingbird and Fahrenheit 451 but never quite get round to it.

  2. I didn't appreciate The Great Gatsby until I was out of high school - my teacher was awful. I read it for fun in college and by then I understood all the imagery and stuff. Great pick!

  3. From your list, The Great Gatsby is my favorite. It's probably my second favorite overall with John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath being my most and best favorite of all time. I have read and loved a few of these, but you have some on here that I need to get to. In particular, Fahrenheit 451. I've always meant to pick that one up because I love books like that but for some reason, I just haven't yet! (:

  4. Okay I think I'm totally alone in this but I really tried to read The Catcher in the Rye and I could not get into it. Everyone I've ever talked to loved it! Maybe I'll try again but I had to give up the last time I tried. I did, however, LOVE Fahrenheit 451.

    1. No, you're not the only one. My best friend in HS also hated this book. I think it must be a love it or hate it type of novel.
