Top Ten Tuesday: Rewind!



Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this week's topic: REWIND - Top Ten Books I just HAD to buy but are still sitting on my bookshelf unread:

1.  Ready Player One by Ernest Cline...now, I did actually get my hubby to read this one - but I have yet to read it myself!

2.  The Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin...I think I'm the last person on earth to not have read or at least watched this story.

3.  Sabriel by Garth Nix...actually I have the whole trilogy patiently awaiting me on my shelves.

4.  American Gods by Neil Gaiman...shame on me!

5.  The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon...I've yet to read Chabon - eek!

6.  The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson

7.  Life of Pi by Yann Martel

8.  Consider the Lobster by David Foster Wallace

9.  This is Shyness by Leanne Hall

10.  Shipbreaker by Paolo Bacigalupi

  6. More than once I have used your lists to check out new books to read and you have never disappointed me. This list is no exception, but I have read a couple and have a couple others on my shelf so I may be a little ahead of the game. I'm retired, read a ton, and I read pretty fast--but I am still behind with an enormous TBR pile! When people say they can't find anything to read I think they are just not trying.

  7. Oh, do make time for Life of Pi, I thought the audio version of that title was amazing. Also, notice you're reading Cloud Atlas - hope you're enjoying it as much as I did - it is my all time favourite novel.
