It's Monday! What Are You Reading? & Mailbox Monday

Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.  We share books that we've read over the past week and those we hope to read this week.

Last Week:
Since I've been away from the blogosphere due to my trip, I actually have 2 weeks worth of reading to report.  Thanks to lots of travel I've managed to read all sorts of goodies:

  • The Secret of Joy by Melissa Senate
  • Castle Waiting by Linda Medley
  • Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini
  • The Leftovers by Tom Perrotta
  • French Lessons by Ellen Sussman
  • The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh (one of my favs of the year!)
  • The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa
 This Week:
Now that I've caught up on some of my ARCs, I'd like to dig into my library are some possibilities:
  • The Twelfth Enchantment by David Liss
  • Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
  • The Oregon Experiment by Keith Scribner
  • Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close
  • The Little Women Letters by Gabrielle Donnelly
  • The Girl Who Fell from the Sky by Heidi W. Durrow

Mailbox Monday is a touring meme where book bloggers share their bookish acquisitions from the week prior.  It is hosted this month by (one of my favorite book bloggers) Life in the Thumb.

This week I received some great goodies!

Romancing the Countess by Ashley March (courtesy of Penguin)

The Lantern by Deborah Lawrenson (courtesy of Harper Collins)

  1. You are doing good!!!
I am not reading much, but so what?!!

Here is my Monday: Mailbox/What Are You Reading?/Musings post!

  2. I was expecting a straight historical with the David Liss book and it was much different than I expected. I liked it though. The Lantern looks interesting. Enjoy your reads!

  3. Looks like your week is off to a great start! Keep reading.

Here is my week in review. Hope you will stop by and visit (follow if you enjoy).

  4. The Girl Who Fell From The Sky has been on my TBR pile way too long. Moving it back to the top today. I have also added the Language of Flowers to my wish list!

    Happy Reading!!

  5. Great list. Here's mine:

  6. Did you enjoy Starcrossed? It's one of my fave reads from this summer.

You can check all my fun from last week

Have a great rest of the week!

  7. A lot of people are planning on reading Before I Fall - you're the 5th or 6th person I've come across with plans for it. I loved it - I listened to it on audiobook and it was fantastic.

    Happy reading!

  8. I just read The Lantern last week and I thought it was good. I love a good gothic mystery.

  9. The Twelfth Enchantment sounds great, as does The Lantern. Both are on my wish list.

  10. You read quite a few books in two weeks. Before I Fall is very good. I am loving both covers on Let's Take the Long Way Home and The Lantern. You have many good titles to choose from! I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to read.

  11. Nice mailbox list. Hope you enjoy them!

  12. I've also got "Starcrossed" in this week's IMM but I'm looking forward to reading The Iron Fey series as well. Yet to find the whole series though.

  13. @Holly - I can't wait to read the Liss book!

@Lori - my mom raved about The Girl Who Fell from the Sky so I know I'm going to love it!

@Lacey - I really enjoyed Starcrossed! It may be one of my fav YA reads of the year!

@Megan - I know! I've waited too long to read it!

@Angelica - I liked Starcrossed better than The Iron Fey series - I hope you get to read it soon!
