Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Should Stand the Test of Time

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this week's topic: Top Ten Books Written In The Past 10 Years That I Hope People Are Still Reading In 30 Years
1.  The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

2.  The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

3.  The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

4.  The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh

5.  The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

6.  The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton

7.  Just Kids by Patti Smith

8.  A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

9.  Peace Like a River by Leif Enger (this one's from 11 years ago, but close enough to make the cut off!)

10.  Snowflower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See

  1. Some of these I loved and I completely agree with you. Some are on the TBR list, and I can't wait to get to them. Great list!

  2. I LOVED Name of the Wind - but I'm reserving judgement until the series is finished.

  3. Such a great list! You're the fourth person to recommend The Language of Flowers this month. I think I officially need to read it.

  4. The Book Thief is number one of my list, too! I have yet to read a novel that I feel can rival The Book Thief. Markus Zusak is a genius.

  5. haven't read most of these but most are on my tbr ^__^

  6. Wow, I love so many of the books on your list! I picked The Song of Achilles up from the library, I can't wait to get started on it.

  7. You KNOW how stoked I am to see Knife on this list!

Also, thank you for the reminder that I need to read The Name of the Wind!

  8. The Book Thief and The Language of Flowers would definitely make my list as well.

  9. There are a few on this list that I have not read. The Language of Flowers is one that I have particularly been wanting to read. Great list. Thanks for the recommendations.
