Monday Memes

Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.  We share books that we've read over the past week and those we hope to read this week.
Last Week:
Last week I finished The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller (fave book of 2012 so far!) and The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen.  I'm still reading both The Long Way Home by Karen McQuestion and Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller.

This Week:
I want to finish up the two books I'm currently reading and also get to Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein.

  1. The Song of Achilles looks good and the fact that it is your fave book of the year so far means I am going to have to read it soon!

  3. YAY A Reliable Wife! OH HOW I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!!
Where I normally go big for world-building, I love Robert Goolrick because he creates incredible stories from intense and amazing characterization. WOW his characters are just WOW. My heart speeds up a little bit when I read either of his books, so deep is my love for his work. I know it sounds VERY CORNY, but you know how I am. Also, I'm making myself read this newest book of his (Heading Out to Wonderful) slowly so I can soak it all in and it is nearly killing me. Sometimes when I read too fast, I miss details because I devour a book. But I can remember every single thing I've read in this book - but GAH I want to eat it up, I do.

YAY for the Goolrick. I'm just really happy to see it in your mailbox and I hope you like it half as much as I did.
